Day 2

I have a lot of friends but always moving around so much I knew my mom was always there. She is the person who I am closest with the longest.I have friends that I am close to now but she fits the longest. She watches my daughter and we spend a lot of time at their house. I do not know what I would do without her. I will admit some of my teenage years we butted heads. What teenage daughter doesn't do that?

3. I am married to my best friend Brian.

5. I have run a half marathon before and plan on running another in the next year.

6. I have two daughters, Savannah Grace 8.5 months and Skyler 4 years old.

7. My favorite place to go is the beach.

8. I have lived in 7 different states but my goal is to live in Nashville.

9. I hate scary movies unless I have Brian to hide behind.

10. I graduated from Illinois State with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

11. I have my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

12. My favorite thing to do is play with my girls and be at home with my husband.

13. I am in the process of learning sign language and teaching Savannah Grace.

14. I have always wanted to visit Australia.

15. Chicago is my 2nd home because I have so many friends who are like family to me.

So I am going to try and keep up with this blog each week. I am hoping to keep everyone in on what is going on with our family. We have been very busy lately and the holidays have been very fun. Meghan was doing a 30 day challenge so I decided to try it as well. So here goes...

Beach Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Gulf Shores with my parents, brother and Maria. It was a much needed vacation. Savannah Grace did GREAT in the car during the 8 hour car ride down and back. She also took great naps and slept through the night. We saw fireworks from the balcony of the condo on the 4th of July. Jeff and Brian burned their backs while making a sea turtle in the sand. Savannah Grace stayed out of the sun most of the time. We were able to get her down early in the morning and late at night. Skyler went in the waves with dad. I have a video that I will post once I get it from my parents. Brian, Savannah, Skyler and I all drove the zoo in Gulf Breeze, FL. We got to feed all sorts of animals. My favorite and the reason I insisted we went was the giraffes. That was worth the money to get in just to do that. We also fed sheeps, goats, llamas, birds, bunnys and whatever else would eat the food we had. When is rained we headed to the Tanger Outlets in Foley. We lasted about 2 hours in the heat before SG decided she was too hot. We headed home early while my family stayed an shopped. Brian and I went back the next day and made up for it big time. It was nice to have some alone time and I got to spend money. Maria had her birthday down there and we went to the Oyster House! It was really good. Skyler found out she LOVED shrimp! She even decided to eat my shrimp tails.  We went to the store and I said look Skyler a shark in a jar. She said "ewwww." I said do you want a shark in a jar? She said no. So then we got home about two hours later she says to Brian, " Daddy, I wish I had a shark in a jar to take home." So she did some chores at the condo and we went back to get a shark in a jar. I am sure that will end up in my classroom. She also bought some farm animals with her own money at the outlet mall. We ate at Sea N Suds and that was the best dining experience for Savannah Grace so we got her a T-shirt even though the smallest size was 2T. It was a great time and we are greatful that Jeff and Maria came down. We are very greatful for my parents for getting the condo and making our vacation wonderful!
Now it is time to get Savannah ready to head to daycare and I have to go back to work.

Very Much Needed Update!

Well, I started this forever ago so now I am updating. I will give ya'll the short version. Our beautiful baby girl Savannah Grace arrived April 14th a 7:57pm. We are so in love with her! She is almost 2.5 months now. She sleeps almost through the night from 9:30 to 7am. If not she gets up once but usually goes right back down. She has the sweetest smile! She has started to coo and can really hold her head up. We are getting ready to head to the beach next week. We will be going down in our new car. We traded Brian's Jeep for a Honda Pilot which we both love! The Jeep needed to go for a number of reasons! I will post some pictures of Savannah Grace.
