I didn't post about Christmas because we just had so much going on. We had a great time with Savannah Grace on her first Christmas. Skyler got to open her presents and loved it all. I think Skyler played with Savannah's baby toys more than her own. We only are giving the girls 3 Santa gifts. We feel that since baby Jesus was given 3 gifts on his birthday, then the girls should understand that is what they get. The reason we have Christmas is because of Jesus and not to just get presents. I mean seriously who gives a 3 year old an IPOD. I guess someone is trying really hard. You know they need to buy their child off the rest of the year too not just at Christmas. Whatever works for you. We are raising Savannah Grace to understand about giving not about getting. I could all day about spending way to much money on children. I don't see the point in buying expensive clothes and shoes and buying WAY to much of it. We all know who does this and that is their own prerogative. It will catch up to people who can't afford it and are just trying to keep up with their friends. I think it already has actually. LOL (Just for reference anytime you file bankruptcky it is all public record, I mean everything...right down to the papers you sign.)
Anyway, I am proud to say that Brian and I had a great first Christmas with Savannah and had a great time with my family. We hung with my family since my older brother Jeff will be moving to Germany in March. I am so sad because it won't be easy to just call him and talk to him. I guess some people just don't understand that. I would really like to go to Germany and see him but I am not sure we will be able to afford that. Brian and I are doing great paying off any debts and saving for college. We don't want to mess that up. We actually have to go out of the county in 2012 for a wedding so we are starting to save now for that.
Here are some pictures from Christmas:
